Tea Party Patriots Bringing the Conscience of America to Washington DC
We are indeed living in perilous times. We can't depend on the Main Street Media to report the truth because when paid enough money or it does not fit into their political agenda, they refuse to report the facts. FOX News is no longer "fair and balanced" and is leaning more and more each day to the left.
It is for this reason that blog sites have taken off at speeds faster than the sound of light across America and around the globe. However, which of these are actually reporting accurately the facts and which are nothing but pure garbage?
The Bible teaches us in Matthew 7:15-20 the following:
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Verse 20 is key to understanding how we should be judging whether or not the information presented is truth or fiction. Furthermore, have the facts presented in the post been substantiated with verifiable evidence and not just some "unnamed insider" or "informant"?
For example, someone recently posted on Facebook an old post from June 30, 2011, that is once again, two years later, regaining momentum across the internet:
This blog penned by a Matthew B. Glosser claims "... my office was contacted by an anonymous source who claimed to be a former White House staff member of the Obama administration. He claimed to have sensitive information regarding a stunning revelation about the First Lady, Michelle Obama...."
".... The following excerpt is the true biographical information of Michelle Obama, given to me on June 25, 2011 by a former member of the First Lady’s personal staff. He shall remain anonymous for the time being to protect his life as well as the lives of his family.
“Michelle Obama, First Lady of the United States, was born Michael LaVaughn Robinson in Chicago, Illinois on January 17th, 1964. He was the second son born to Fraser Robinson III, a well known cocaine dealer and union thug for Crime Lord/Mayor Richard J. Daley, and Marian Shields Robinson, a transient street prostitute who was diagnosed with the HIV virus in 1998. He was a popular high school athlete and in 1982, he accepted a scholarship to play middle linebacker for the Oregon State Beavers.
After finishing a respectable rookie season with 88 tackles and 7.5 sacks, he suddenly dropped out of the school. Fellow teammates observed that Robinson could regularly be heard lamenting over how he is a “woman trapped inside a man’s body”, and on January 13th, 1983, he underwent sex reassignment surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. To hide the shame of his new identity, Michael left Oregon State to attend Princeton University under his new legal name, “Michelle Robinson”. Years later, he met Barry Obama Jr. a Kenyan immigrant who later became aware of “Michelle’s” true identity. They subsequently married and adopted two children.”
To many "news junkies" this is exactly the type of information that would perk their ears and get their immediate attention. I will give the author this much... Michelle Obama does appear to show more testosterone than our president at times, but even so, we must filter everything properly and ask ourselves the right questions before we continue to spread outright lies, rumors or speculation if we are to be taken seriously and not made to look like complete fools by those in the MSM who diametrically stand opposed to everything we love, respect and defend.
After reading this post I noticed there was an email address that I could write Mr. Glosser, so I quickly sent him the following request for additional information and I am anxious to see how he responds:
These are serious allegations and as a Christian sister and former investigative reporter, I must ask you if any substantive documentation was provided by your informant.
I am not writing to harass you, because like you, we have also been approached in the past with “confidential” information, but these are the type of allegations that, as Christians and reporters, must be thoroughly investigated. I am sure you must have some evidence or you would not have put your name and neck on the chopping block.
Thanks for your clarification on these matters and I look forward to your reply.
I did a little more research on the author and found some of his other posts on the internet. For instance, on August 20, 2011 he left the following comment on a post titled "Stinky Town Rejects Phish Hippies Bathing in Public Fountain, “im going to say something that is against all my Christian upbringing and say F**K YOU, AL MANSON!"
Well, my antennas started to rise and my a"nose" (as we say in the reporting biz) said, "Dig deeper." I then read as many of the other posts on this "Christwire.net" site as I could stomach and then realized that even though they had sprinkled the stories with some actual facts, the vulgar nature and unprofessional manner in which most of these posts are written are certainly not Christlike and the reader should be aware and proceed with caution before continuing to spread these types of articles across the internet.
The scriptures repeatedly warn us about spreading rumors, but the one that most adequately applies to these circumstances is found in Exodus 23:1: "You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness."
Sometime my feet may fail me as I have grown older and have become a bit more clumsy, but once again my antennas and nose did not. Wikipedia had the following information posted on Christwire.net:
Christwire is a satirical website that publishes blog-style articles that highlight excesses of American Christian conservatives along with obscure weather reportage, inaccurate and unfactual warnings about such things as politicians and video games, new vernacular, intense focus on various communities, and numerous parenting and lifestyle tips.
Well, as the Good Book told us ... "by their fruits ye shall know them." This "shocking new revelation" was just another fruity report ... at least until clear indisputable evidence speaks otherwise.

P. S. The main purpose of this blog is not to discuss whether or not Michelle Obama was ever a man, but to show how some rumors get started and are never substantiated. We as Christians (and even more so as reporters) are never to spread anything false and so it is incumbent upon each of us ... if it cannot be proven ... keep our mouths shut, our pens off the paper and our fingers off the keyboards!
